A year ago, I was immersed in preparing my three magical Halloween kids singing parties in Sevenoaks, filled with music, games, and creative fun. These Kodály-inspired sessions were a huge hit, with children in fancy dress coming together to sing and play in the spirit of the season.
### Pumpkin Spice Singing Tea Party:
One of the highlights was the Pumpkin Spice Kids Singing Tea Party at the Pumpkin Spice Café, where witches, skeletons, wizards, and other magical creatures gathered to enjoy music and games. The room was full of Halloween magic, and I even brought along my homemade papier-mâché pumpkin head.
#### How I Made Mr Pumpkin:
To create Mr Pumpkin, I started by filling a recycling bag with scrunched-up newspaper, tying the top to hold its shape, and using string to define the pumpkin segments. I then layered strips of newspaper soaked in a water-and-glue mixture, letting each layer dry before adding more. Once dry, I painted the pumpkin. Finally, I carefully drew and cut out his face using a Stanley knife, bringing Mr. Pumpkin to life!
